Gleam ('we', 'our', or 'us') is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Gleam, you agree to this policy.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and home energy profile (utility provider, rate plan, solar system size, EV model, and related details). If you connect third-party integrations, we also receive data from those services — vehicle battery level and status from Smartcar, solar production data from SolarEdge, and utility bill data you upload. We collect usage data such as which opportunities you act on and your chat history with Sol.
We use your data solely to provide Gleam's energy optimization service — to calculate personalized savings opportunities, power Sol's recommendations, and track your estimated impact over time. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Gleam integrates with Smartcar (vehicle data), SolarEdge (solar production), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery). Each integration is governed by its own privacy policy. We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the service. You can disconnect any integration at any time from your Energy Profile.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Free accounts have 14 days of chat history retention; Pro accounts have unlimited retention.
You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@gleamenergy.io. Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days.
Gleam uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Gleam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Gleam after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
